How to know if your partner is really your best friend

True love requires that you and your partner becomes each other's best friend, have limited friendship base and confide in each other. Many people easily claim that their partner is their best and only true friend but I really laugh because that could be another big lie of the century….don't get me wrong though.
One advantage of having your partner as your best friend is that when love goes down, the spirit of best friendship keeps you both going in the relationship. The question remains; how do you know if your partner is your best friend or are you living in illusion?

The truth remains that you and your partner can never love each other all the time even if the love falls from the sky or is like that of Romio and Juliet. Are you with me?
This is why you need your partner to be your best friend for your relationship to rock! Even in old age, friendship remains the major factor that keeps partners together…people who have experienced this really shared this big secret with me.

According to one of my discussants; “my husband and I have enjoyed all we have in our body with each other; we have enjoyed the sweetest part of marriage which is sex and we have endured together during the hard times…what we now have is the spirit of friendship after 4o years of marriage…..my husband is my best friend” that was a pastor's speech I lifted out after I had long discussion with her about friendship in your relationship…..

In this post, I examine the true and real signs that will help you to know if your partner is truly your best friend.

1. If you both can freely and easily share secrets
Though, I can't say of any relationship without secrets but the number of secrets should be very low and when sharing any secret, if you can freely and easily share your deepest secrets then, your partner is your best friend. Remember that your partner must have the same freedom and ease to share secrets with you.

2. If you both enjoy doing many things together
Many relationships really suffer from lack of this as a result of absence of true friendship between partners. This is bad if not terrible….boredom may be a threat soonest!

3. If you both are really your selves when with each other
I can tell you truly that millions of people are into relationships that make them fake themselves. They have lost their real selves all in the name of pleasing or trying to impress their partner. Remember that in true love relationship, you don't impress but you express…read how to express in your relationship. Especially in Africa, people have changed the way they speak or talk just to sound impressive….believe me that relationship is going to crash soonest!!!

4. If you both are not always shy when together
I'm very realistic in my posts, I won't say that you both shouldn't be shy because human beings in one way or the other get coy especially from someone they love or admire (read signs that you're in love) but what I'm saying is that the shy level is very minimal when with a best friend.

5. If you both cannot count how many times you both are naked together

6. Fart in presence of each other
Though I hate this fact about true love but it is the truth……..WARNING!!!! mind how often you do this if you don't want to receive a red card…Read 10 things you must stop doing around your girl friend
7. How close are the both of you to each other's family members?
I can't say anything on this…..figure it out yourself.

8. If you both chat, interact gist, gossip and play like children as often as possible
This is very important in knowing if your partner is your best friend. Some relationships are too mechanical for my liking-God forbid, I can't be in such relationships….the both of you should often play, gist, laugh stupidly, chat, and gossip like real best friends.

I hope you don't give your partner a red card after reading this post…..the essence of the post is to help you know if your partner is truly your best friend. Please and please, kindly help me promote this blog by sharing this long boring post on your facebook wall, twitter page, dig, stumble upon, pin interest etc.
